Our teams travel to Dijon, Paris to help the Plasters shop, prepare, and cook a traditional Thanksgiving meal for about 60 Parisians. This is a great opportunity to share God’s love within the context of everyday living to a group of people who have lost sight of what true faith in Jesus looks like.
Our intention at Grace is to partner strategically in hard areas of the world where we can live holistically, generously and serve as a catalyst for a movement of God’s church globally. Our goal is to encourage and build up the local cross-cultural workers/pastors so that they feel better equipped to send out their own cross-cultural workers.
Prayer is one of the most simple, yet powerful tools that we, as believers, have to use. Ephesians 6:18 calls us to, “pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Pray with specificity for the Plasters and the other pastors and cross-cultural workers they are with to have wisdom and perseverance. Pray also for the community to have open hearts to hear the gospel. 30 Ways to Pray is a great resource to pray with specificity.
God calls us to shift our thinking from comfort to sacrifice. As you engage the culture and invest your time, money, and energy into what God is doing in France, your heart will follow. You can give to the work in France by providing financial or material support to the Plasters or by helping someone else be a part of a GO team to France. To directly support the Plasters in the work that they are doing see the link in their bio below.
As we hear the Great Commission and understand that God calls us all to share the gospel, we must also shift our thinking from security to service. “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. Maybe you have had thoughts about going on a trip. We encourage you to email Denise Hallsten, our France leader, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
