Thank you to everyone who has given and supported the relief efforts to this point, but the work is not done and it won’t be done for quite awhile! We are partnering with Bayou City Fellowship and NAMB (North American Mission Board) to help in the relief efforts.

We have had several people step into teams that are going down to Houston to help in the recovery efforts and those teams are working hard. Some of those on the teams are experienced relief workers and some, like Michael, have never been on a trip like this before. Mike was blown away by the need and followed the prompting at church to join a team!

Mike and his friend were a part of teams coming from California, Louisiana, Arkansas, Iowa, and Kentucky. It was hard to leave his daughter for the week but he was so overwhelmed by the amount of work that needs done he wished he could stay longer. He was so amazed by the love that he saw among all the people that were there.

Mike said this after returning, “I would definitely suggest people go… there is so much work to be done. The people affected are in real need and have no place to turn but God’s Church; and His Love is visible through the work and sacrifice of His people!”
