Urban Vision is still looking for donations towards their goal of 15,000 pieces of candy for Easter. Donating this candy is an easy way to serve one of our city partners and it allows them to focus on spending more time with the kids. World Relief is launching a new employment program and is in need of people who can help with refugee families with the following things: ESL tutoring, assisting with getting State ID’s, resume writing assistance, building connections with employers, interview prep and mentoring refugees on working in American culture. Urban Vision has an opening for someone to come and serve in their K-1st grade class on Wednesdays from 3-5:30. The most important part of this time is to be present, spending time with the kids! Our First Impressions team is looking to create a database of people who are handy with repairs or who like to help with events and creating decorations. This team would be called when there were special events that the church needed to be decorated, like the Christmas program.
